I bought the Post Falls Landing property the afternoon of September 10, 2001, less then 24 hours prior to "9/11". Imagine the challenge of starting the Landing at that moment. Fortunately I had an amazing Team of professionals. One of the most important team members is Harrison Dock Builders (HDB Marine), because the most important element of the Landing is the Marina. The odds did not appear favorable for me to receive an Encroachment Permit. HDB Marine never left my side. They attended every meeting, day or night. No matter the agency, place, or time, I could count on HDB Marine sitting next to me. Christmas 2003 I received my Encroachment Permit. It never would have happened without HDB Marine. When the approval process was complete HDB Marine went to work designing and engineering the project. After 4 plus years, HDB Marine brought their crane and barge on site to begin setting the first pilings. HDB Marine had never left my side. Post Falls Landing Marina is a 142-slip marina system with a C-Store, Fuel Dock, a dry stack launch/recovery pier and complete utilities located less than 1,000 feet upstream from the Post Falls Dam on the Spokane River. HDB Marine overcame the challenge of this design/build project in this unique location. Post Falls Landing Marina is now in service and boaters say it is the nicest facility they have ever used.
