Steel Truss Frame – Structural Angle Options

  • HDB Standard Frame – 2" x 1 1/2" x  3/16" angle frame members
  • Heavy Duty – 2" x 2" x ¼"
  • Light Duty Frame – 1.5" x 1.5" x 3/16"
  • Custom to meet Site specific requirements

Steel Truss Frame – Options

  • HDB standard floating dock frame is 12" depth.  An 8" depth frame is available for a lower freeboard floating dock for smaller boats and watercraft
  • Standard - Hot dipped galvanized after fabrication in accordance to ASTM 123
  • Option - Polyurea plastic coating for a “green” protective coating against the harsh marine environment.
  • Option - Black steel frames ready for painting/coating by your crew or contractor

Decking Choices

  • Titan Deck boards are made of polypropylene injection molded plastic. Titan decking will take everything that you and Mother Nature can throw at it. Your choice in colors of Mushroom tan and Driftwood Gray.  Maintenance-free and environmentally safe, with a non-slip surface that is barefoot friendly.  UV-protection prevents fading and stays cool even on the hottest days.  Now available in a 60% light penetration design.  7-year manufacturer’s limited warranty.NEW !!   • MoistureShield environmentally friendly composite decking.  Made from 90% pre- and post-consumer recycled content, MoistureShield is a “green” solution that is splinter-free, comfortable to walk on and structurally sound.  Choices in colors allow you create the look that suites your goals and plans.  Natural looking MoistureShield decking is 100% PVC free and uses only safe recycled materials and natural additives.
  • 2x6 wood decking has long been the industry standard.  Cedar 2x6 decking is sustainable and does not require preservative treatment as it is naturally resistant to decay.
  • IPE – a luxurious natural hardwood that is long lasting and stunningly attractive.  IPE does not require preservative treatment as it is naturally resistant to decay.  HDB uses only green certified harvested IPE.
  • Concrete deck panels – The most durable and long lasting decking of them all.  Concrete panels with crushed ice patterned surface are attractive and comfortable for bare feet.  2 x 2 x 1.5 inch panels are strengthened  with both wire and fiber reinforcement.    Our concrete deck panels are easy to install and  are the choice of many KIT projects
  • Custom Decking – we will listen to your ideas – and will work with you to use your preference in materials and to achieve the look and feel that you want for your boat dock or marina.

Flotation

  • Polyethylene encased floats - .150" nominal wall thickness- Complies with Corps of Engineers Regulation #36 CFR Part 327, absorption and falling dart test –
  • Rotationally molded for a seamless long lasting waterproof protective shell covering

  • Ready-to-Float Kits–Save time and money!  HDB manufacturing experts will factory assemble your floating dock into ready-to-float modules completely assembled with decking, fenders, cleats, floats attached to the steel truss frame.  Modules are ready to launch and assemble by your crew or contactor.
  • Do-it-yourself Kits– Utilize your expertise and capabilities. All components for your new floating dock are shipped loose for assembly and installation by your crew or contractor.  We will supply the factory ready components that you want for your floating boat dock.
